I was very excited to try this NEW foundation when I saw it at Wal-Mart. I believe they only had 5 shades available but now they have 12, which I think it's a bit low dont you think? It was around $12 and the pink packaging definitely got my attention.
It claims to create flawless silky, even-tone finish, poreless perfection for every skin-tone.
I did not know what shade to get, since they didn't have any testers so I went with the one closest to my skin-tone.
It reminded me of Maybelline's Dream Mousse foundation, I can't compare the texture because it's been a while since I've used it.
Let me start by saying that it's very smooth when you first apply it to your skin. I used Sigma's F80 and it looked flawless. I was still able to see my pores, no minimization there!
But after 2 hours, my face was completely oily! and it even made me darker (about 2 shades). I wasn't even outside in the sun. I was bummed because 2 hours is not long enough. So I tried it with a primer and even an oil mattifier, and I thought for sure it will last day, boy I was wrong =\I don't think this is for "every skin-type", specially not oily skin. I think L'Oreal's best foundation is still True Match Super Blendable which is oil-free.
On the other hand.... my mother asked if I had a foundation for dry skin, which is her skin type, and I told her I had this new one by L'Oreal which made me super oily and that it might work for her. She totally had different reviews. From her perspective it made her skin look dewy and soft, which is what people with dry skin are trying to achieve. It also stayed that way for about 7-8 hours, but she doesn't apply powder throughout the day. The only downside was that it didn't help with her pores (I get my big pores from her).
This foundation is definitely for people with dry-skin who want the dewy & silky look, but if you have oily skin like me I suggest you skip this. Not worth the $12-14.

Good to know. I almost bought this the other day but I wanted to do some more research on it. I have combination skin, so this would probably not work for me. Thanks for the review
i'm glad i never gave in to this foundation! i was thinking it would be bad for my oily skin, just like the dream mousse was. thanks for the review!
thanks for the review! i heard this foundation wasn't very good for oily skin either!
I was curious about this foundation, thanks for the review!
great review! I was browsing through some recent drugstore foundation and was deciding between this and fit me by maybelline. Now I'll definitely go for the latter since I oil up throughout the day as well.
xx
